Waterfall, Watermills in Poza da Moura. Domaio, Moaña. Ría de Vigo.

We are in Domaio which is one of the parishes of the municipality of Moaña, in the province of Pontevedra, in the Ría de Vigo. We will visit the place known as Poza da Moura.

We could divide the visit into two areas, which can be reached by different paths. The upper part is where is the poza, natural swimming pool formed by the Miñouva River among the rocks in its descent to the sea.

Near the pool there are some old watermills in different states of preservation and from here there are spectacular views over the Ría de Vigo. We can also see the viaduct of the road known as Corredor do Morrazo. You get there from the surroundings of the Club de Golf Ria de Vigo by several different paths.

The other part of the visit to the poza is the waterfall (fervenza in Galician language) that the River Miñouva forms to save a significant slope. It offers in winter a spectacular view.

To get here from the road that runs along the coast, the road PO-551, we turn here: 42.285960, -8.683083, we continue the EP-1103 road and get to this point: 42.295656, -8.680894. From here is better to ask the locals.

We begin seeing the fervenza (waterfall).
