Today we visit Aldán in Cangas de Morrazo again. After seeing the beaches of San Cibrán and Los Picos (Click Here: San Cibrán Beach and Los Picos Beach in Aldán, Cangas de Morrazo.) we continue our walk from the end of the boardwalk along the Paseo Carlos Perez to the fishing port of Aldán.

We start the walk along the Paseo Carlos Pérez dedicated to Carlos Pérez Rial "Perucho" gold medal in the Beijing Olympics 2008 in the category of K-2 in the specialty of canoeing. Also in his career he has won up to 8 medals in World Championships and 7 in European Championships.

Trained in the Club de Piragüismo de Aldán in which other extraordinary athletes have been trained such as Teresa Portela (Olympian, 13 medals in World Championships and 17 in European Championships) or the incomparable David Cal (1 gold medal and 4 silver medals in 3 participations in different Olympic Games, the Spanish athlete with the most Olympic medals, and also 5 medals in World Championships and 5 in European Championships).

Respect. Admiration. Apologies if the track record of these great athletes is not entirely correct. Teresa continues to compete.

This is a statue of Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Our Lady of Mount Caramel), protector of fishermen. The boardwalk that runs along the beach of San Cibrán is to the left. Here the Paseo Carlos Pérez starts.
