Today,
we are in Celanova a municipality situated to the south of the Province of
Ourense inland Galicia. It is near to the neighbouring country of Portugal.
Celanova is of about 6000 inhabitants and is divided into 18 parishes. As we
have mentioned the division into parishes remains in Galicia and it is very
important. They are civil parishes and are of ecclesiastical origin.
We
will visit Santa María de Milmanda
parish and the Alcázar (fortress or
castle). We also will see the parish church of San Salvador and A Armada
Sanctuary in Rabal. Rabal
is another parish of Celanova.

Today
we are in Vilatuxe. It is one of the 52 parishes which belong to the
municipality of Lalín. This town is located inland in the Province of
Pontevedra. It is at the geographic center of Galicia. River Beach Pozo do Boi
is located on the course of the River Deza.

Today
we will take a walk along the seafront of Bueu, between Petís Beach and Banda
do Río Beach, walking down Montero Ríos Avenue and Pescadoira Beach. We will
also visit the Port which is very important for the economic life of the town.

The
visit to the Monastery continues. (Click Here to see Part 1 of the visit) We are back in the porter´s lodge. We have
just seen the Cloister called De las
Procesiones, the Church and part of the Museum of the Monastery.

The
visit begins at the porter´s lodge where the Main Staircase is.
We
enter the Cloister called Claustro de las
Procesiones. From here we can gain access to the Church and we come back to
the Cloister to see the refectory. It is used as one of the rooms of the Museum
of the Monastery.
We
go back to the porter´s lodge and enter the Cloister called Claustro del Crucero. The mosaic El Camino de Santiago, Way of St. James
is exhibited here. We also can see in this cloister the two other rooms of the
Museum.
Lapamán
Beach is situated on the southern bank of The Ría de Pontevedra. It has a length
of about 600 metres. A part of it belongs to the Municipality of Bueu and the
other to Marin.

We
visit the inside of the chapel today.
The
Sanctuary of Virgin Peregrina is located in the centre of Pontevedra, in the
square of the same name. Peregrina Square separates the old town from the rest
of the city. The statue of Virgin Peregrina is of 19th century, is the
patron saint of the Province of Pontevedra and the Portuguese Way of Saint
James and is very much venerated in the entire city.
