There are two interesting hiking routes in Poio, based on water mills:
Route of the Mills in A Freixa: The route runs through the environment of the River Cancela. These are old mills that used the force of the water. There are 9 mills, 7 of which have been restored.
Route of the Mills in Samieira: There are 23 mills their state of conservation is different, along the River Freiría.
Route of the Mills in A Freixa:
The route starts in the surroundings of the Park and football field A Reiboa. From here there is a magnificent view of the Island of Tambo and the Ría de Pontevedra.

The Municipality of Poio is located on the north coast of The Ria de Pontevedra in southern Galicia. It is next to the capital of the province, Pontevedra and it has a population of about 16700. The division into parishes remains in Galicia. They are civil parishes and are of ecclesiastical origin. Poio is divided into the following parishes: San Salvador, San Xoan, Combarro, Samieira and Raxó. Economic activity focuses on tourism, fishing, shellfising and canning industry. There are 3 fishing ports: Campelo, Combarro and Raxó. There is also a marina in Combarro.
